When Signal Integrity Is Non-Negotiable, Compromise Isn’t an Option
A single distorted signal can halt an entire production line. In a chemical plant, a substation, or a high-speed packaging facility, electromagnetic noise isn’t just background interference. It’s a direct threat to data accuracy and equipment safety. Repeated signal drops force engineers into reactive troubleshooting. That means unplanned downtime and ballooning maintenance budgets.
The ZA-DJVP2VR cable is built to isolate data from chaos. This is a multi-core, individually shielded instrumentation cable with a PVC outer sheath. It rejects electromagnetic interference with precision. The result is clean, repeatable signal transmission for your critical measurement and control circuits. Fewer faults. Stable automation. Predictable operational costs.
Signal Architecture: How Individual Shielding Prevents Cross-Talk
Individually Screened Pairs (ZA-DJVP2VR Design)
Standard bundled cables allow electrical noise to jump between circuits. This cross-talk corrupts low-voltage analog signals, leading to faulty actuator responses.
This cable wraps each twisted pair in an Aluminum/Polyester foil tape, supplemented by a tinned copper drain wire. This physical barrier contains the electromagnetic field of each pair.
Your PLC receives the exact micro-volt or milliamp signal sent by the field sensor, not a noise-contaminated estimate. This is essential for 4-20 mA analog loops.
Stranded Bare Copper Conductor
Rigid solid-core conductors are prone to work-hardening and snapping under vibration or tight panel bends. A fractured conductor inside a seemingly intact sheath is the hardest fault to find.
The ZA-DJVP2VR uses Class 2 or Class 5 stranded bare copper. The conductor remains flexible during installation and resistant to fatigue during continuous vibration.
Lower risk of latent wiring failures. Your maintenance team spends less time hunting for intermittent “ghost faults” in junction boxes.
High-Quality PVC Compound Outer Sheath (Type ST4/ST2)
Constant exposure to mineral oils, coolants, and mechanical abrasion breaks down cheap cable jackets. A brittle, cracked outer sheath exposes the inner shielding to moisture, instantly degrading signal quality.
The robust Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) jacket resists chemical erosion and light mechanical impact, suitable for dry, damp, and wet environments.
Extended cable service life in harsh industrial conditions. You avoid the safety risk and production loss tied to premature cable replacement in tray runs.

Where This Cable Fits in Your Plant
The ZA-DJVP2VR isn’t a universal power cable. It solves specific transmission problems. These are the four high-frequency deployment scenarios.
- Chemical & Petrochemical Processing: In automated batching systems, electrical noise from variable frequency drives (VFDs) corrupts flow meter readings. This cable’s foil screen maintains the integrity of the 4-20 mA signal loop over long tray distances, ensuring exact valve positioning and mixture ratios.
- Water Treatment & Distribution: Damp environments accelerate insulation breakdown. The solid PVC insulation and foil shield block the ingress of ground-level moisture into telemetry circuits. This keeps SCADA telemetry from remote pumping stations stable and reliable.
- Power Generation & Substations: Protection circuits require absolute reliability under high electromagnetic stress. In switchgear panels, adjacent high-voltage busbars induce stray currents. The individual pair shielding isolates the tripping and monitoring circuits, preventing false breaker operations.
- Machine Building & Tooling: Cable carriers on CNC or packaging machines demand continuous flex and high-density wiring. The stranded copper conductor survives the repetitive bending. Individual shielding allows servos, encoders, and temperature probes to run in a single bundled multi-core cable without cross-talk, reducing total cable weight and carrier space.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
We don’t just claim reliability. We build it to measurable standards, verified by independent testing.
- ✅ IEC 60332-1-2: Flame retardant performance for single vertical wires.
- ✅ IEC 60092-101 (Partial): Resistance to oil and cold bending (verified for PVC sheath).
- ✅ IEC 60228: Conductor class requirements for resistance and flexibility.
- ✅ RoHS (2011/65/EU): Free of hazardous substances for equipment sold globally.
- ✅ ISO 9001:2015: Production traceability from copper input to final spark testing.
- ✅ 100% Electrical Spark Test: Each meter undergoes a high-voltage online test to detect pinholes in the insulation.
Frequent Technical Inquiries
Can this cable connect directly to a VFD motor?
No. This cable is rated for 300/500V signal and instrumentation circuits. VFD motor outputs carry high-frequency, high-voltage pulses. For that, you need a specific shielded power cable rated Uo/U 0.6/1 kV or higher with concentric earth protection. Connecting an instrument cable to a motor will cause immediate conductor breakdown.
We need to transmit digital Modbus RTU data over 800 meters. Is this suitable?
Yes, conditionally. The individual shielding is excellent for RS-485 differential signaling. However, 800 meters is a long run for any signal. You must respect the baud rate-to-distance ratio dictated by the cable’s core-to-core capacitance. If your baud rate exceeds 19.2 kbps, study the datasheet for the capacitance per meter value. We can provide that figure for your line calculation. A terminal resistor may also be required.
Are you supplying reels cut to our exact length, or only standard factory lengths?
We supply to your exact project specifications. Standard factory lengths are available, but we cut to the exact meter count for your segmented installation. This reduces installation scrap, minimizes waste joints, and accelerates your pulling schedule. No minimum order quantity applies to cut lengths.
