Tired of Cables That Snap, Crack, or Lose Signal?
You know the feeling. You set up a high-precision CNC machine or a robotic arm. Everything runs smooth for a week. Then, the “ghost” errors start. The servo motor jitters. The sensor reading is wrong. Or worse, the cable in the drag chain cracks open, exposing copper wires and shutting down your whole production line. This happens because you are using standard, stiff cables. They are not built for the real world of factory automation. They break when bent 500,000 times. They pick up electrical noise from nearby motors. They get stiff in the cold and melt in the heat. You need a cable that works as hard as your machines. You need a cable that bends, twists, and flexes without breaking. You need a cable that keeps your data safe from electromagnetic interference (EMI).We built this 20-Core 28AWG Twisted Pair Shielded Cable specifically to solve these headaches. It is not just a wire. It is a high-performance nervous system for your industrial equipment. With a cross-section of 0.1 square millimeters (approx. 28AWG), tinned copper conductors, and a special flexible jacket, it is the “invisible boss” of control cables. It handles complex signals for multi-joint robots, packaging machines, and server connections without missing a beat.
What Makes This 20-Core Cable Special?
Let’s look under the hood. This is not your average hardware store wire. We designed this for high-flex applications where space is tight and movement is constant.
The “Twisted Pair” Magic
Why do we twist the wires? It is simple physics. When you twist two wires together, they cancel out noise.Imagine two wires running parallel. A nearby motor creates a magnetic field. It hits one wire, then the other. This causes “crosstalk” or signal interference. Your data gets corrupted.By twisting the pairs, we ensure that both wires are exposed to the same noise at the same time. The receiver subtracts the noise, leaving only the clean signal. This is critical for RS485, CAN-BUS, and Profibus systems. We twist them with an optimal lay length to minimize capacitance unbalance. This means your signal stays sharp, even over long distances.
20 Cores in One Compact Bundle
You get 20 cores (10 pairs) inside one jacket. This is a “multi-core” design. It saves you time and money. Instead of running 10 separate cables, you run one.
- 0.1 mm² (28AWG) Size: This is the sweet spot. It is thin enough to fit in tight drag chains and small connectors. But it is thick enough to carry power and signals for sensors and encoders.
- Tinned Copper Conductor: We use fine annealed copper strands, tin-plated. Why? Tin does not rust. In humid or oily environments, bare copper oxidizes and turns green, which kills conductivity. Tinned copper stays shiny and conductive for years. It also makes the wire softer and more resistant to metal fatigue.
Heavy-Duty Shielding
This is where cheap cables fail. In a factory, you have VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), welders, and heavy motors. They all blast out electromagnetic noise. Our cable uses a combination of shielding:
- Foil Shield (100% Coverage): Each pair has an aluminum foil shield. This blocks high-frequency noise.
- Braid Shield (Optional/Overall): We can add a tinned copper braid over the whole cable. This grounds low-frequency interference.
- Drain Wire: We include a 24AWG or 26AWG tinned copper drain wire. This makes grounding the shield easy and secure. You don’t have to mess with the signal pairs to ground the shield.
The result? You get excellent EMI/RFI protection. Your PLC gets clean data, and your machine runs smoother.
Built for the Harshest Environments
Your cables don’t live in an office. They live on the factory floor. They get dragged, stepped on, splashed with oil, and baked by heat.
The Jacket Matters
We use two main types of jackets, depending on your needs:1. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) Jacket:
- Flexibility: Very soft. It bends easily.
- Temperature: Good for -20°C to +80°C.
- Usage: General indoor use, conveyor belts, packaging machines.
- Certifications: UL Style 2493, CM/CMG for in-wall use.
2. PUR (Polyurethane) Jacket:
- Oil & Chemical Resistance: This is the heavy hitter. If your cables touch cutting oil, hydraulic fluid, or coolant, PUR is a must. It does not swell or crack.
- Abrasion Resistance: It handles the constant rubbing inside a drag chain.
- Temperature: Handles -40°C to +80°C (or higher for some grades).
- Low Smoke: We offer LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) versions for tunnels or public buildings.
Bend Radius and Drag Chain Life
The “bend radius” is how tightly you can bend the cable before damaging it. For this 28AWG cable, the minimum bend radius is about 6 to 8 times the diameter (roughly 40mm to 50mm).But the real test is the “bending cycle.” A standard cable might handle 10,000 bends. Our high-flex design handles over 500,000 bends. This means if your machine moves back and forth 1,000 times a day, this cable lasts for years, not months. It is the champion of cable drag systems.

Where Can You Use This Cable?
This cable is a workhorse. We sell it to industries that cannot afford downtime.
CNC Machine Tools & Machining Centers
Connect the control panel to the servo motors and spindle drives. The cable moves inside the track chain. It resists the coolant and metal chips. It keeps the positioning data accurate to the micron.
Industrial Robots & Manipulators
Robots have 6 or more axes. Each axis needs power and feedback signals. This multi-core cable bundles all those signals into one slim line that moves with the robot arm without tangling.
Automated Packaging & Assembly Lines
In a bottling plant or car assembly line, sensors are everywhere. Photoelectric sensors, limit switches, and barcode readers all talk to a central PLC. This shielded cable ensures that a motor starting up nearby doesn’t trigger a false “bottle present” signal.
Building Automation (KNX/BACnet)
It’s not just for factories. For smart buildings, this cable is perfect for KNX bus systems. It connects lighting controls, HVAC sensors, and security systems. The twisted pair ensures the control signals don’t get mixed up with the power lines.
Aerospace & Defense (High-Reliability)
For lower-stress avionics or ground support equipment, the PTFE (Teflon) insulated versions handle extreme temperatures (-55°C to +200°C) and resist vibration.
