22 AWG 3-Core Oil-Resistant Signal Cable – UL Listed Tinned Copper Control Wire for Industrial Automation & Robotics

Description

Tired of cables that crack in oil, fail UL inspections, or mess up your control signals?

You run a tight ship. You need wires that work hard and don’t quit. But finding the right cable is a pain. You buy cheap wire, and the oil in your factory eats the jacket. The insulation cracks, shorts happen, and your machines stop. You try to pass a UL inspection, but the cable has no stamp. You lose the contract. Or maybe the wire is too stiff. You can’t pull it through the drag chain. It breaks after a week of bending. We get it. Downtime costs money. A bad cable isn’t just a wire. It is a risk to your whole operation. You need a cable that handles oil, flexes all day, and passes UL standards without drama. You need a wire built for the real world, not just a lab. This is why we built our 22 AWG 3-Core Oil-Resistant Signal Cable. It is not just a wire. It is a solution for your headache. It has tinned copper strands for anti-corrosion. It has a special PVC or PUR jacket that laughs at oil. And it is UL listed, so your inspections are easy. Let’s look at what makes this wire the best choice for your next project.

What exactly is 22 AWG 3-Core Cable?

Let’s break it down simply. AWG stands for American Wire Gauge. It is the standard size for wires in the US.

The “22 AWG” Size

22 AWG is the sweet spot for signal and control. It is not too thick and not too thin.

  • Diameter: The bare copper is about 0.64 mm. The whole wire with insulation is around 6.0 mm to 6.5 mm.
  • Current: It can handle about 3 to 5 amps for power. For signals, it is perfect.
  • Resistance: Standard 22 AWG copper has a resistance of about 48.5 Ohms per kilometer. This is low enough for long runs without losing signal strength.
The “3-Core” Setup

This means three wires inside one jacket.

  • 1 Black (Hot/Power): Carries the current.
  • 1 White (Neutral/Return): The return path.
  • 1 Green or Bare (Ground): Safety ground for shielding and protection.
  • Bonus: We can add a twisted pair for data signals if you need it.
The “Tinned Copper”

We use tin-plated copper. Why? Because bare copper turns green (oxidizes) when it touches air or moisture. Tin stops this. It keeps the connection solid for years, even in wet or humid places.

Technical Specs: The Numbers You Need

When you buy cable, you need hard data. Here is the spec sheet for our standard model. We can change these based on your MOQ.

Why these specs matter to you:

  • Stranded vs. Solid: We use stranded wire. Solid wire breaks if you bend it. Stranded wire flexes. If you have moving parts (robots, doors), always use stranded.
  • Shielding: In a factory, big motors create noise. This noise kills data signals. Our foil + braid shield blocks the noise. Your sensors read correctly every time.
  • PUR Jacket: If you are in a place with hydraulic oil or cutting oil, standard PVC gets soft and sticky. PUR (Polyurethane) resists oil, chemicals, and abrasion. It lasts 3x longer.

Where do you use this cable? (Real World Scenarios)

You might think “control cable” is generic. But specific jobs need specific wires. Here is where our 22 AWG 3-core shines.

Industrial Automation & PLCs

This is the #1 use. You connect a Proximity Sensor or a Photoelectric Switch to a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).

  • The Problem: The sensor is far away. The signal is weak. There are VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) nearby making noise.
  • Our Solution: The shielded 3-core wire carries the 24V DC power and the signal. The shield connects to the ground. No noise. No false triggers.
Robotics & Drag Chains

Robots move. Their arms twist and turn. The cable inside the drag chain bends 50 times a minute.

  • The Problem: Cheap cables stiffen up. They snap the copper inside. The robot stops with an error code.
  • Our Solution: We use a special flexible PUR jacket and stranded copper. It bends millions of times without breaking. We also add a strength member (Kevlar or yarn) inside the jacket to stop pulling damage.
Audio & Security Systems

You install commercial audio in a ceiling or a security camera system.

  • The Problem: You need to pull wire through walls. It gets pinched by screws. It needs to be safe for building codes.
  • Our Solution: UL 2464 is the standard for internal wiring of electronic equipment. It is CL2 or CL3 rated for in-wall use. The jacket is easy to strip for installers.
LED Lighting & Signage

Outdoor signs or industrial machine lighting.

  • The Problem: Rain, sun (UV), and heat destroy cheap wire.
  • Our Solution: Our black PVC jacket is UV resistant. It handles wet locations. The 3-core allows for separate control of different light zones (Red, Green, Blue, or On/Off).

Quality Control: How we make it better than the rest

A lot of factories just extrude plastic over copper and call it a day. We don’t. We test.1. The Copper PurityWe use high-purity electrolytic copper (99.9%). It has less impurity. This means less resistance and less heat. We also plate it with bright tin. The tin layer is thick (3-5 microns) so it doesn’t rub off when you crimp the connector.2. The Insulation ExtrusionWe use a dual-layer extrusion process.

  • Inner Layer: Color-coded PVC for insulation.
  • Outer Layer: The black/gray PUR sheath. This bond is strong. The jacket won’t peel off when you strip it.

3. The ShieldingCheap cables use a “foil shield” only. It breaks easily. We use “Foil + Braid.” The braid is tinned copper wire woven around the core. It provides better grounding and physical protection.4. TestingEvery batch goes through tests:

  • Hi-Pot Test: We apply high voltage to ensure no shorts.
  • Resistance Test: We check the Ohms/km to ensure it meets 22 AWG specs.
  • Aging Test: We put the cable in an oven at 85°C for 168 hours to simulate years of use.

5. UL CertificationWe don’t fake this. Our factory is UL listed. You can check our file number. If you need a specific UL style (like UL 20234 for flexible cords), we can produce it. This saves you the headache of getting your end-product certified.

Customization: We make what you need

We know one size doesn’t fit all. You might need a special length or a weird color. We can do it.

  • Length: Standard rolls are 100m, 305m (1000ft), or 500m. We can cut to length (2m, 5m) and put connectors on both ends.
  • Connectors: We can crimp M12, M8, D-Sub, or bare wires. Just tell us the pinout.
  • Color: Black is standard. We do Gray, Blue, Orange, or Yellow for identification.
  • Printing: We can laser print your logo or “22 AWG 300V” on the jacket every meter.
  • Packaging: Bulk spools, plastic reels, or cartons with desiccant bags to keep moisture out during shipping.

Why buy from us?

You have choices. You can buy from a big distributor like Mouser or DigiKey. But they charge a premium. You can buy from a random Alibaba trader. But they might not know the specs. We are a factory-direct OEM/ODM partner.

  • Price: We cut out the middleman. You get factory price with good margin.
  • Lead Time: Standard orders ship in 7-10 days. Custom orders in 15-20 days.
  • Communication: We speak English. We understand “UL,” “RoHS,” and “Flex Life.” We don’t use translation software to talk to you.
  • MOQ: We are flexible. We can do 500 meters for a trial order or 10,000 meters for a big project.
