This factory-wound 3-core mixed-gauge cable solves that mismatch. It pairs two 0.1mm² signal conductors with one 0.3mm² power or return leg in a single jacket. The result is one pull instead of two, reduced cabinet clutter, and cleaner signal paths in tight DIN rail channels. Runs are continuous up to 500m per spool, with tolerances held to ±0.005mm² on cross-section. That consistency matters when you are validating against loop resistance calculations.

Why does 0.005mm² matter? In a 4–20mA loop, a 1Ω resistance offset shifts the sensed value by 20μA. Across 10 sensors, that cascade of offset masks a real process drift. Our match reduces that offset to near-zero before installation. Commissioning checks pass faster. Loop tuning holds longer.

High-Strand-Count Annealed Copper

Each conductor uses 7-strand bundled construction (Class 2 per IEC 60228) from ETP-grade copper, oxygen-content-controlled during drawing.
Fine stranding resists work-hardening cracks where cables flex into moving machine guards or robot dress packs. Stranded copper also loads faster into screw-clamp terminals — no wicking, no stray filaments. Panels build faster. Field re-terminations are forgiving, which reduces callbacks.

Composite Jacket: PVC + Nylon Over-Sheath

The inner PVC provides dielectric stability. The extruded nylon outer layer supplies the mechanical resistance necessary for conduit pulls and machine-tool troughs.
Pull-through abrasion is the silent failure mode. A nicked jacket wicks moisture by capillary action into the conductor bundle. Corrosion starts months before the fault appears. The nylon layer shifts that risk threshold upward — a margin that converts directly into extended warranty confidence and fewer service dispatches.

Common Engineering Queries

Can you supply a shielded version for VFD-heavy environments?
Yes. An overall aluminium/polyester tape shield with a 7-strand tinned-copper drain wire can be added. Nominal outer diameter increases to 4.1mm. Specify “ST” suffix when requesting a quote. Recommended where the cable shares a tray with VFD motor leads or runs within 300mm of a variable-frequency drive chassis.

What is the actual deliverable length tolerance per spool?
Standard commercial tolerance is -0% / +3% on ordered metre marks. So a 500m spool carries a minimum of 500m of live conductor, and may include up to 515m. We mark the true length on the reel flange. We never short-ship — field cuts are expensive and a 10-metre shortfall on a final pull can stall a handover.

Does the nylon sheath embrittle in outdoor UV exposure?
Untreated nylon exposed to direct, sustained sunlight will lose tensile elongation over multiple seasons. For outdoor cable tray or exposed solar-farm routing, we add a carbon-black UV stabilisation package to the nylon compound. Add suffix “-UV” to the part code. Test data per ISO 4892-2 (Xenon arc) is available for your materials engineer.
